Sector Support and Development

From 1 July 2022, Sector Support and Development (SSD) activities will focus on supporting Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) providers as they prepare for a new in-home aged care system.

All roles within the Gippsland Sector Development Team now prioritise this directive in line with funding responsibility.

Additionally, the Regional Aboriginal Development Officer works with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHO) to support their work in providing HACC-PYP services to their local Aboriginal communities.

The Gippsland Sectoral Development team is supported by both the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care (DoHAC) and the Victorian Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH)

 We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians of the country and pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.

We also acknowledge and celebrate the diversity within the Gippsland region. We actively support funded service providers to design and deliver inclusive, client driven and accessible services for everyone.
