Sector Support and Development

From 1 July 2022, Sector Support and Development (SSD) activities will focus on supporting Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) providers as they prepare for a new in-home aged care system. As such, SSD providers will be required to allocate at least 75 per cent of their funding to this new focus.

The Community of Practice will be a private online forum where SSD providers, peak bodies and the Department of Health and Aged Care can communicate with each other to drive greater collaboration and engagement. The Community of Practice will have moderators who will review content and help promote discussions.

The Community of Practice will be used as:

a forum for providers to engage with one another;
a hub for sharing resources and information; and
a place for providers to engage directly with the Department of Health and Aged Care.
