Purpose

The purpose of the Gippsland Community Care Alliance (GCCA) is to:

  • Identify what matters to Gippsland Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and Home and Community Care – Programs for Younger People (HACC PYP) service providers and their consumers

  • Provide a strong voice for Gippsland and advocate on behalf of local service providers in relation to policy, funding and service requirements

  • Connect ideas, information, members and resources so collaboration is more effective, ensuring everyone has the information to capitalise on change, always working to a consumer directed approach

  • Provide information regarding impacts of reform on the service sector and significant policy developments and changes in funding

  • Build trust and foster productive partnerships within the sector to respond to future changes

  • Promote the effective exchange of information between the Victorian Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH); Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care (DoHAC); Community Grants Hub (Department of Social Services - DSS) and the Gippsland Community Care sector about funded programs, broader systemic issues, work force and other initiatives, including strategic and policy changes
